Why Automation of Solid and Powder Dispensing is a necessity

The main motivation for automating solid/powder dispensing is to avoid tedious and time-consuming manual processing, along with increasing productivity by cutting the cycle time significantly. The need to conserve limited amount of solid available and reduce wastage is also a factor.

Chemspeed's way: condensing multiple operations in one task

Introducing the FLEX / SWING POWDERDOSE – Chemspeed’s approach to Automated Solid and Powder Dispensing

The FLEX POWDERDOSE and SWING POWDERDOSE is a modular robotic platform enabling automated and traceable high-throughput solid dispensing tasks while processing. It has been designed with flexibility in mind which allows you to modify and/or add new tools, racks, reactors at any time even after your system has been installed.

Any type of solids (low density, sticky, any particle size, spherical or granulates shapes, beads and tablets), can be dispensed into an unlimited choice of vial/plate/reactor formats. Any powder handling workflow is achievable by adding functionality through the choice of more than 40 robotic tool-features.

Chemspeed’s software-driven FLEX / SWING POWDERDOSE avoids tedious and repetitive tasks in research, service and production facilities and significantly increases the level of performance. You are able to dispense virtually any solid into any type of container; such as vials, microtiter plates, bottles, tubes, reactor blocks, formulation vessels etc; even while processing formulations or reactions.

  • It brings paradigm shifting modularity, enabling an easy to use workflow task driven software.
  • Exchangeable robotic tools.
  • Compatible with virtually any powder flow properties: from low density, sticky, any particle size, spherical or granulates shapes, beads and tablets.
  • Unrivaled gravimetric dispensing technology directly immersing into the target including an anti-drip system which avoids cross contamination!
  • Designed to be used with any type of containers such as vials, MTP microplates, bottles, tubes, reactor blocks, formulation vessels, etc.
  • A large choice of hardware and software tools allow fine tuned adaptation to your workflow.
  • (Optional) Second on-deck balance with a resolution down to 0.01 mg for in-line calibration check, system validation and higher dispensing accuracy.

  • Decrease in cost per sample by 90+ %.
  • Increase in productivity by a factor of 10+.
  • The balance moves to the destination, increasing speed and efficiency.
  • Balance resolution of 0.1 mg, or 0.01 mg. A large dispensing range, from a few mg up to several grams.
  • Powder dispensing/dosing robotic tool can be combined with other tools to accommodate multiple workflows.
  • Easy access to data, a convenient interface to pull results into Excel.
  • Dispensed amount, time and other data are stored in a read only log file.
