Technical Details

Chemspeed’s SWING KF deck modularity allows the user to execute and perform a variety of water content analysis workflows in a fully automated fashion.

The Gravimetric Dispensing Units(SDU, GDU-P and GDU-V models) are used to perform automated, gravimetrically controlled dispenses of a wide range of ingredients in the milligram to multigram scale. The modules pick the appropriate container, dispense the ingredients, and then place the container back to its station before picking the next one. All dispensing units include an overhead balance with a resolution of down to 0.1 mg, and allow dispensing and simultaneous weighing of ingredients into various vials, reactors, well-plates.

The Capping / Crimping / Gripping Device

The Capping / Crimping / Gripping Device

The Capping / Crimping / Gripping Device is a tool for sealing crimp-neck vials with the corresponding caps,and for transporting the vials from one position to another. The decapping tool is used for opening the crimped vials during, or at the end of an application. The caps are stored in a tube on the tool and are automatically placed on the respective vial. This reservoir tube can be automatically refilled with caps during an application.

The MultiGripper and Barcode Reader
The MultiGripper is a tool for transporting vials and MTPs on Chemspeed platforms. A transport can be intended for one of the following reasons:

  • Weight determination on the balance rack.
  • Barcode reading.
  • Transportation to a rack with additional functionality (heating, agitation …).

Optional: integrated Barcode Reader. The Barcode Reader automatically identifies 1D and 2D barcodes on vials and MTPs.

The samples and the standards are weighed out into 10 mL vials with the gravimetric dispensing units,capped and crimped to protect them against atmospheric moisture and then transported on the rack.Prior to titration the samples are dissolved in a known amount of KF working medium and the water content is then titrated in a second step.
