Rolf Gueller, Ph.D.

Founder and CEO Chemspeed Technologies AG

Dr Rolf Gueller is Chief Executive Officer of Chemspeed Technologies AG and a delegate of the company’s board of directors. He founded the company in 1997. Under his leadership, Chemspeed has become a worldwide leading provider of automated high throughput technology for research and development. Numerous innovations in automation and the digitalization of research and development have been and still are the basis for this impressive development.

Rolf started his career at F. Hoffman-La Roche AG as head of a medicinal chemistry group in the department of cardio-
vascular research. In this context, he and his team began to develop fully automated systems for the parallel synthesis of potential active substances, as well as an electronic lab journal, which ultimately led to the foundation of Chemspeed.
Rolf has a Ph.D. in Chemistry from ETH Zürich.


Senior VP, Business Units Life Science & Materials Science

Dr Michael Schneider has been Senior Vice President of the Life Science & Materials Science Business Units at Chemspeed Technologies AG since 2014.  Since joining Chemspeed in 2001 as Chief Scientific Officer, Michael has held various positions at the company, including Senior VP Business Development, and Head of R&D and Production.

Dr Michael Schneider graduated in organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich (Switzerland), in 1989. He did his Ph.D. thesis on Catalysis, Materials Science and Reaction Engineering in the Laboratory of Technical Chemistry at the ETH Zurich. This work was awarded the Silver Medal of the ETH Zurich, in 1994. After a postdoctoral fellowship in the group of Prof. Dr A. Baiker at the ETH Zurich, Michael joined the Process Research and Development Department of the Vitamins and Fine Chemicals Division of Roche in Kaiseraugst (Switzerland), in 1995. As project manager and laboratory head, he was in charge of several projects in the area of process research and development, which resulted in significant cost savings.

Elodie Kohler-Jund

VP Finance

Elodie Kohler-Jund is Vice President of Finance at Chemspeed Technologies AG. She joined the finance department in 2000 and has been leading the department since 2011.

Elodie completed the BTS Comptabilité et Gestion (2000) and the Baccalauréat STT Comptabilité et Gestion in 1998.
In 2011, she received the Federal Diploma of Higher Education as a Chartered Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management.

Benedikt Haag, Ph.D.

VP Global Marketing & Asia

Benedikt Haag joined Chemspeed in 2016 to lead the global marketing team and to promote Chemspeed’s Asian activities. From 2008 to 2015, Benedikt led the Hygiene Business Unit of vanBaerle AG in Switzerland and also acted as a general manager of vanBaerle s.r.o. in the Czech Republic. Prior to this, he served in various new business development and marketing management positions at Buchi Labortechnik AG, Chemspeed and Kolb AG.

Benedikt holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich. Additionally he holds an executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen.

Martin Scheidiger

Head Manufacturing & Technologies, Production

Martin Scheidiger joined Chemspeed in Januar 2017 to lead the Manufacturing and Technologies department and to promote Chemspeeds effort regarding organization and the current challenge of value chain digitalization.

From 2014 to 2016 Martin Scheidiger leads the Development department of Nuomedis, a startup company, in the cancer diagnostics instruments field. From 2009 to 2014 He leads the Supply Chain department at Nanosurf, the market leader for AFM based cingle-cell, nano manipulation, nano education and diagnostic instruments. He was responsible for the whole operation activities including the technology transfer from the development department to the production and manufacturing department. In addition to that he was the Quality Manger and responsible for the ISO 9001 Certification.

Martin Scheidiger holds a master degree in electronics engineering and executive business administration. Through his past activities he has a lot of experience in technology development, project management, organization development and leadership.
