Live Webinar: Materials Accelerated Discovery Enabled by Synthetic Systems (MADNESS)
To solve some of humanities largest problems such as climate change, we need to discover molecules and materials faster than ever.
To achieve that, and together with other groups around the world, we have proposed the idea of the “self-driving laboratory”, a platform that incorporates computation, artificial intelligence, orchestration and optimization systems and chemical automation platforms to integrate materials discovery under one roof.
In this talk, I will describe a DARPA-funded collaboration called MADNESS that involves the groups of Lee Cronin, Jason Hein, Bartosz Grzybowski, Marty Burke and our group at UofT that aims to create self-driving laboratories for the discovery of organic molecules for optoelectronic applications. I will describe the project alongside recent progress in AI for chemistry.”
This is the fourth webinar in Chemspeed’s series about “Digital Transformation of R&D and QC Labs.
