WHERE: Online or 113 North Center Drive, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 (US Headquarters)
In person 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM (presentations, Q&A, lab session, and a networking lunch provided)
Remote 10:15 am – 12:00 PM (presentations, Q&A)
FOCUS: The event will bring together representatives from Chemspeed (a Bruker company), Bruker and Analytical Sales to review and discuss automated synthesis / reaction screening in the Life Sciences R&D space. Presentations and discussions will showcase how automation enhances synthesis workflows (microL to mL scale), drives consistency, reduces resource demands, and enables greater throughput, data integrity as well as innovation.
We’re also pleased to feature Dr. Alexander (Alex) G. Godfrey, Scientific and Technical Lead for the ASPIRE program at NCATS, as our guest speaker. With over 25 years of experience in process chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and laboratory automation—including leadership in developing the Automated Synthesis Lab at Eli Lilly and the ASPIRE platform at NCATS—Dr. Godfrey will present “Automation Is the Last Thing Chemistry Needs.”
Dr. Alexander (Alex) G. Godfrey's talk challenges conventional narratives around laboratory automation, arguing that meaningful progress begins not with replacing the bench but with deeply understanding and reimagining it. Drawing from decades of experience in chemical technology innovation, the presentation explores how sustainable, reproducible automation emerges when systems are designed to harmonize with — rather than disrupt — the aesthetic and workflow of traditional chemistry. The integration of AI-driven “self-driving lab” concepts is discussed through the lens of flexibility, manual override, and the enduring value of the human chemist."
WHO SHOULD JOIN US: Scientific and academic professionals in Life Sciences R&D who are involved in discovery synthesis and reaction screening workflows.
Whether you are new to automation or an experienced user, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how to confidently and efficiently advance your research while exploring compatible solutions for streamlining and automating your workflow.
If you plan to attend in person, please indicate this in the message field on the registration form.
