MULTIPLANT / AUTOPLANT FLOWCHEM

Paradigm shift - combination of automated batch & flowchemistry

The leading technology in versatile combination of autoamted batch & flowchemistry combined with our quality by design reactor and process excellence, and our user-friendly software, allow you to accelerate, standardize and digitalize your organic process R&D workflows.

Key advantages

  • Decrease in cost per experiment up to 90+ %.
  • Increase in productivity by a factor of 10+.
  • Up to 36 experiments per run on an AUTOPLANT, up to 12 experiments per run on a FLEX.
  • Combination of batch & flowchemistry.
  • Independent and precise process parameter control in each reactor (such as feed / flow, temperature, mixing).
  • Independent gas, liquefied gas and liquid feeds.
  • Gravimetric solid and (viscous) liquid dispensing.
  • 4-Needle Head for volumetric liquid handling and sampling.
  • PAT like IR, PSD, calorimetry, pH.
  • Feeding and sampling under reaction conditions.
  • Reaction under reflux at ambient pressure with optional Dean Stark water removal or distillation.
  • Reactions at elevated pressure.
  • Vessel-to-vessel transfer for multistep reactions.
  • Workup with liquid / liquid extraction, drying, solid-phase extraction, filtration or evaporation.
  • Cleaning in place (e.g. automated cleaning, inserts).
  • Dispensed amount, stirrer speed, temperature, pressure, time..., and other data are stored in a read only log file.
  • Easy access to data with a convenient interface to pull results into Excel or virtually any other software.
  • Interface to DoE.

Enhance your efficiency and productivity with our workflow solutions!
Technical details

Chemspeed’s AUTOPLANT FLOWCHEM deck modularity allows the user to execute and perform a variety of workflows in a fully or semi-automated fashion.

The synthesis of most organic compounds includes the following steps which can all be fully automated on the AUTOPLANT:

  • Interface to DoE.
  • Addition of liquid and / or solid reagents.
  • Reaction in continuous flow.
  • Reaction under reflux at ambient with optional Dean Stark water removal or distillation or elevated pressure.
  • PAT
  • Vessel-to-vessel transfer for multistep reactions.
  • Work-up with liquid / liquid extraction, drying, solid-phase extraction, filtration
    or evaporation.
  • Product isolation.
  • Analysis.
  • Cleaning in place

The cutting edge Process Development Workstation Technology allows scientists to truly mimic
the final industrial production process and provides all the flexibility to optimize integrated reaction sequences, even if a complex configuration of reactors and feed vessels required.
