Beiersdorf chose Chemspeed Technologies’ automated product development platform

January 6, 2022

Beiersdorf chose Chemspeed Technologies’ automated product development platform to help tackle the growing complexity resulting from the environmental role of raw materials as well as the fast-changing trends in the cosmetics industry.

After a thorough screening, we have identified Chemspeed’s robotic platform as the best suitable solution to handle our complex formulations and raw materials whilst at the same time enabling a real-time monitoring of all process parameters. With the robot, we are gaining in-depth knowledge of our formula properties and characteristics which allows us to reduce the quantity of scale-up trials and shortening the time to market.

The high flexibility in combination of modules and tools in the platform was an additional reason for us to choose Chemspeed Technologies as they enable a precise tailoring of the machine to our needs. With it, we run multiple formulations simultaneously, which is a clear benefit in areas where repetitive tasks usually require a lot of manual effort and take up time. The high degree of precision even on milligram scale, the traceability of each step, the easy to use software based on drag-and-drop functions together with the possibilities of in-line characterization are the reasons why Chemspeed Technologies is our partner of choice for automated development of cosmetic products.

Toward fully autonomous closed-loop molecular discovery – A case study on JAK targets

Bridging AI and self-driving laboratories, we introduce the first fully-automated, closed-loop molecular discovery cycle, exemplified by the identification of novel JAK inhibitors. With minimal human intervention, we combined AI-driven molecular design and retrosynthesis with IBM’s synthesis automation system RoboRXN and Arctoris’ Ulysses platform for automated in-vitro screening.

Asymmetric hydrogenation of olefins with transition metal-based catalysts: practical insights from screening to production of APIs

Selective hydrogenation plays a critical role in modern synthetic chemistry, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry, where the production of chiral molecules with high enantiomeric purity is essential for the efficacy and safety of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
